About the Event
“Great Artists - Small Venue” started streaming weekly gigs from Upstairs@TheGather during lockdown. It was well worth the money and the investment in training.
We gave a lifeline to artists whose employment otherwise dried up and we made no charge to view but offered a tip jar so that artists could get some income. Also the experience provided a sense of normality as people were constrained to stay at home.
During that time our music attracted a worldwide audience and when in July 2021 a semblance of normality returned it seemed sensible to continue to film and stream live performances.
The UK wide and international audience gas stated with us and we have regular viewers from across Europe, Australstic, the USA and even Russia.
